Kupuna Eaton Honored at Christmas Parade

The 'Ewa Beach Lions Club honored Hoakalei Cultural Foundation President Arline Eaton at the community's annual Christmas celebration.
The Lions named Kupuna Eaton "Grand Marshall" of the Christmas Parade in recognition of her efforts to perpetuate the culture and history of the area.
This year's parade took place under bright blue skies on the morning of December 12. About two dozen school groups, community organizations, area businesses and Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann participated in the march up Fort Weaver Road from the Boys & Girls Club, through old 'Ewa Beach and ending at the shopping center, where the audience was treated to a free holiday concert.
